About Nathan Burt MBACP
I trained in humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential theory and tailor sessions to help clients take in and understand their emotional experience. My approach goes beyond merely ‘talking through problems’ - utilising open dialogue, body focusing, visualisation, breathing techniques and creative expression.
My professional background is two-fold. I worked in the creative industry for 25 years, growing a weekend job at school into international board level roles in brands and agencies. Managing complex projects in pressurised environments led to leading teams and mentoring individuals.
Navigating loss in 2011 re-engaged my earlier interest in psychology. This later inspired me to embark on formal training across 4 years, in Counselling and Psychotherapy as a mature student at Regents University in London.
I transitioned careers in 2016 combining my additional experience in nutrition and physical therapy to start The Unsaid Space. I've since spent 5500+ hours working with individuals, as well as running clinics and educational workshops for businesses. I continue to study human behaviour extensively.
I'm a registered member of the bacp (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethical conduct.
