The Unsaid Prescription

Sometimes you find yourself feeling a bit lost as to what to do for the best. Deep down a part of you knows that something's not right - but you can't figure out what the best move is by yourself.

Welcome to the human club.  You may be wondering, Why am I feeling like this? What's going on beneath the surface? Do I need therapy, or is there another way forward? What would feeling better even look like?

What is an Unsaid Prescription?

Sometimes before we know what needs to change, we need space to understand where we are now. A space to make sense of what's happening

This service was designed specifically for people who want a better understanding of themselves and their current situation,

It's about creating enough time and space to step back, explore your experiences, and develop a clearer picture of what may be happening beneath the surface.

Together, we can explore your history, your relationships, your experiences, your strengths, your challenges, and the ways you've learned to navigate life.

Often, the things that trouble us today have a story behind them.

Understanding that story can be the beginning of meaningful change.

What does it involve?

The process involves two extended sessions.

The first session is an opportunity to explore:

  • What has brought you here now

  • What you are experiencing and how it affects your life

  • Your history and significant experiences

  • Patterns you notice in yourself, your relationships and your choices

  • What you would like to understand or change

There is no need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation.

Most people don't.

We simply begin with what feels most present.

Following our first session, I take time to reflect on what we've explored and consider the themes, patterns and possibilities that emerge.

The second session is an opportunity to share those reflections with you.

Together, we can explore:

  • What I notice about what may be happening

  • Possible reasons behind your current experiences

  • The areas that may be most helpful to focus on

  • What type of support may best suit you moving forward

This might be ongoing therapy, reflective sessions, a different form of support, or simply a clearer understanding of yourself and what you need.

There is no expectation that this leads to further work together. The aim is clarity.

What might you leave with?

People often come looking for answers. What they often find first is a different way of understanding themselves.

By the end of the process, you should have:

  • A clearer understanding of your current challenges

  • Greater insight into patterns that may be affecting your life

  • A sense of what might help next

  • A more compassionate understanding of yourself

Sometimes the most important shift is simply moving from:

"What is wrong with me?" to "What has happened to me, and what do I need now?"

Is this right for me?

This may be helpful if you:

  • Feel stuck but don't know why

  • Are unsure whether therapy is the right next step

  • Want a deeper understanding before committing to ongoing work

  • Have experienced significant life changes and want to reflect on their impact

  • Feel overwhelmed by patterns you cannot seem to shift alone

How do I start?

I offer a free 20 minute introductory conversation to discuss what has brought you here and whether this feels like the right kind of support.

If we decide to proceed, we'll arrange the two sessions at a pace and rhythm that feels appropriate. You can book one via the button below.

Fees

£300 Inclusive of 2 extended 75 minute sessions
