Mens Reflective Supervision Circle

IMG_3121.jpg

What's the groups purpose?

This is a reflective supervision circle for men working in the therapeutic, mental health or caring professions. It’s a safe space to explore your professional practice, your emotional responses, and how your work impacts you personally. It’s about reflection, connection, and peer support — not therapy for participants.

Who is this group for?
Any male trainee or professional. Whether you’re early in your career or experienced, this group offers a space to reflect on the challenges and pressures of your work in a confidential, supportive setting. It's a drop in group that you can attend regularly or as and when needed. I limit each session to a maximum of 10 participants.

Who runs the Group?

Myself, Nathan Burt - I'm a 53 yr old male psychotherapist, father, son, brother, partner and Talk Club Trainer, with extensive experience working with men

navigating complex emotional and relational dynamics. I understand the pressures of clinical work and know the power of group reflection and support.

How does it work?

Beginning: A simple grounding exercise, group agreements and an individual check-in for all attendees.

Middle: An open collaborative forum to explore a theme of the moment and or a  specific client based, or philosophical issues from a group member(s).

Closing: We close with a grounding exercise and individual check outs.

When is it?

The first Wednesday of each month from 7-9pm UK time.

Where is it?

Online via zoom or in person in Haywards Heath, Sussex.

Confidentiality - any personalised content stays in the circle, learning can travel.

Responsibility - We speak from the ‘I’.

Equality - We take space and make space, sharing time fairly.

Care - We move, breathe or pause as needed.

Do I have to share if I don’t want to?
No. Sharing is voluntary. You can observe or contribute as much as feels safe and comfortable.

Can I bring specific cases or examples from my work?
Yes. The group is designed to explore both professional and personal reflections, including challenging cases.

How is this different from individual supervision or therapy?
This is a peer-supported reflective space. It’s not therapy or one-on-one supervision - it’s a structured environment to explore professional and personal reflections alongside other men navigating similar work and life challenges.
